Patty Downes has been an advocate for chiropractic since her early teen years. She is the Clinical Chiropractic Assistant and Patient Advocate to the doctors at Crossroads Chiropractic. She works with patients to obtain their history and clinical information for both their initial visit, as well as upon follow up care. She performs computerized diagnostic scans, digital x-rays and therapies such as acoustic compression therapy (“MyACT”), Estim, ultrasound and active therapies.
“My mom is the reason I believe so strongly in chiropractic care. As a teenager, she had received chiropractic care after a motor vehicle accident and understood the importance of adjusting the spine and nervous system. After I sustained a serious neck injury from a horseback riding incident, she refused to follow the medical model of medications and sought correction of the problem. She patiently and consistently followed the chiropractor’s recommendations for care and I firmly believe that her decision saved my life. After moving to the Sharpsburg area, I sought a wellness center for my family. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to work with the Crossroads Chiropractic team and I believe my lifelong experience with chiropractic care has provided me a unique education which I sincerely share with our practice members.”
Patty has been happily married to her best friend, David, for the past 26 years. They have three fantastic children, Cody, Meghan and Dylan – and a Siberian Husky named Malakai. As a small town girl from southern Missouri, she spent her summers outdoors and/or around water whenever possible. If you don’t see her at the office, it’s because she is probably boating at the lake or beach, fishing, swimming and more recently, scuba diving.
