sore throatIn this weeks video health tip, Dr. Matthew Davis, director of Crossroads Chiropractic, shares important information looking at easy and natural remedies for ridding yourself of the dreaded sore throat.

Sore throats are a normal and common occurrence.

If you’re currently suffering from a bout of sore throat, there are numerous natural and easy-to-find remedies which can be just as effective as their pharmaceutical counterparts.

They also don’t pose any serious side effects on the overall health of the body.

Some of the options you can try are saltwater gargle, ginger, honey and lemon water, chamomile tea, fresh sage steeped in hot water, and turmeric powder steeped in hot water.

Another option that you can try is the use of essential oils to help improve your sore throat.

Essential oils can either be applied to your throat or inhaled through a diffuser.

Some of these oils include lavender oil, oregano oil, thyme oil, and peppermint oil.

If you have been suffering with a chronic sore throat, this may indicate a serious condition and is best checked by your health practitioner.
