Neck Pain in Children

In this weeks video health tip, Dr. Matthew Davis, director of Crossroads Chiropractic, shares important information looking at neck pain in children and the benefits of chiropractic care.

Neck pain in children is a significant health issue, with increasing prevalence as they age.

Two researchers analyzed 50 children with neck pain, ages ranging between 6 and 18 years old.

In recent years, our team at Crossroads Chiropractic sees many children and teens with significant neck pain. Between the issues that revolve around very heavy backpacks, to the constant use of technology, along with the increased level of athletic activity, neck pain has become a much more commonly seen condition we frequently treat in our office.

The neck pain was successfully managed by chiropractic care with significant improvement recorded in 96% of the patients and no serious adverse events were reported.

Spinal manipulative therapy is an effective treatment in managing pediatric mechanical neck pain resulting from day-to-day activities.
