The Thompson Drop-Table Technique uses sections of the adjusting table that briefly drop during an adjustment, allowing controlled force with less body movement. At Crossroads Chiropractic, this technique may be selected based on examination findings, the area being treated, patient comfort, and individual preferences.
How the drop table works
Individual cushioned sections support the area being adjusted. A selected section releases a short distance as the chiropractor applies controlled pressure. The table mechanism can support a lower-force approach; the amount and direction of force are tailored to the patient.
Patient positioning and comfort
Your chiropractor positions you on the table according to the area being treated and explains what to expect. Tell us about discomfort, concerns, or preferences so positioning and technique can be adjusted. Technique selection considers your symptoms, examination findings, comfort, and response to care.
Apparent leg-length differences or changes during a head-turn check do not, by themselves, prove a spinal lesion or diagnose neurological or systemic disease. Results vary, and no particular outcome is guaranteed.
